In the construction industry, the term "block" covers a far broader range than one might imagine. From hollow blocks for load‑bearing walls to curbstones for municipal roads; from colored paving bricks for plaza paving to interlocking blocks for riverbank slope protection – all of these fall within the category of building blocks.

Different blocks place completely different demands on equipment. Load‑bearing blocks require high density and high strength; paving bricks require a smooth surface and uniform color; slope protection blocks require tight interlocking and erosion resistance. Whether one machine can produce all of these products well depends on whether its mold system, vibration system, and hydraulic system are flexible and precise enough.

What Systems Make Up a Building Block Forming Machine?

A complete building block forming machine is composed of five core systems:

Spreading system. Feeds the mixed material evenly into the mold. If spreading is uneven, brick density will be inconsistent, affecting both strength and appearance. UNIK adopts a forced rotating spreading system equipped with multiple rows of mixing forks, ensuring uniform material filling.

Vibration system. Expels air from the material through high‑frequency vibration, causing the concrete to liquefy and compact. UNIK adopts a third‑generation servo vibration system, with a forming cycle of 15‑20 seconds, a vibration force of 50‑70 KN, and overall energy savings of 20%‑30%.

Hydraulic system. Provides the forming pressure and drives the press head lifting and demolding. UNIK adopts Rexroth or Yuken hydraulic systems, with stable pressure and low failure rates.

Control system. Composed of a PLC and touchscreen, it manages the entire production cycle. UNIK adopts Siemens or Mitsubishi PLCs, supporting recipe storage, one‑click switching, and fault self‑diagnosis.

Mold system. Determines the shape and specifications of the product. UNIK molds are made of Cr12MoV alloy tool steel, undergo carburizing heat treatment, and have critical dimensional tolerances controlled within ±0.3 mm.
