According to the report, the project has a construction period of 90 months. The contracted amount is about 3.355 billion yuan.
According to media reports, the Ministry of Construction of the Federal Ministry of Myanmar and the Mandalay Provincial Government have built a new Mandalay Industrial City in accordance with the concept of a green, clean and smart city, and the overall development of the Myanmar Central Irrawaddy Development Co., Ltd. Mandalay Industrial New City is Myanmar's first international-level large-scale green smart industry new city, covering an area of 4046 hectares. Based on economic development zones and smart cities, the project develops manufacturing, agriculture, IT, technology research and development, health care, education and tourism through the construction of industrial parks, business parks, agricultural development zones, tourist resorts, housing and related infrastructure. Industries such as leisure create investment opportunities for local and foreign investors.
The project is located on the planned Sino-Burmese railway corridor, and the Myanmar National Highway No. 3 and the Mandalay-Lashio Railway also pass through the project site. The location of the project, Mandalay, is the geographical center of Myanmar. It is the hub of railway, highway and waterway transportation and the meeting point of the China-Myanmar economic corridor.
