The production process of concrete brick making includes the following steps:
Raw material preparation: First, clay, cement, admixtures and water need to be prepared. Clay should contain a certain amount of loose particles to facilitate mixing cement. If the clay contains less sand, sand can be added to the soil; if the clay is hard, it needs to be ground before adding sand.
Mixing: Mix the above raw materials according to the formula ratio to ensure the strength and water resistance of the brick. Usually, 10% of 425# ordinary Portland cement is added to improve the strength and water resistance of the brick and prevent cracking after immersion in water.
Mixing: Mixing raw materials requires a certain amount of time to ensure uniform mixing. The strength of dry mixing can be increased by 15-23% in 20 minutes compared to 10 minutes. The wet mixing time is suitable for materials not to clump.
Molding: The mixed raw materials are sent to the silo of the brick press and pressed into brick blanks by the main machine. The molding pressure has a great influence on the quality of the brick. Generally, the pressure of clay cement brick molding is preferably 500 kg per square centimeter.
Curing: The brick blanks need to be cured after forming. Natural curing is usually adopted, using solar energy protection. The strength of natural curing in the sun for 7 days is equivalent to 67-90% of the strength at 28 days. Curing conditions have an important influence on the final strength of the brick.
Specifications and sizes: Common cement brick specifications on the market include standard bricks of 240x115x53mm, eight-hole bricks of 240x115x90mm, hollow bricks of 390x190x190mm, etc.
Quality control: During the entire production process, the quality of raw materials, the uniformity of the mixture, the molding pressure, the curing conditions, etc. need to be strictly controlled to ensure that the cement bricks reach the required strength grade and quality standards.
