CEMENT BLOCK MAKING MACHINE IN SRI LANKA
Products Description
Sri Lanka's construction industry is recovering from a crisis. From 2026 to 2028, the government will invest approximately LKR 2 trillion in construction‑related sectors, with funds mainly flowing into highways, irrigation systems, and housing projects. Projects such as the Colombo Port City, urban renewal, and the East‑West Expressway are now fully underway, driving rapidly recovering demand for concrete blocks and paving bricks.
At the same time, construction material costs are rising. In April 2026, the price per bag of cement was raised by LKR 150–175, and the retail price now exceeds LKR 2,200 per bag. As the cost of purchasing finished blocks continues to climb, building material suppliers that own their own production lines will gain a significant cost advantage in bidding for large‑scale housing and infrastructure projects.

Main features
Many imported machines have problems "adapting" to local conditions in Sri Lanka, mainly for three reasons: grid voltage fluctuations, inability to buy spare parts when they break, and inability to use low‑cost local raw materials. UNIK has made specific design improvements to address these three issues.
Voltage adaptation: The industrial standard voltage in Sri Lanka is 400V/50Hz, but real‑world fluctuations often exceed ±15%. UNIK equipment is factory‑customized to the local voltage, with a wide voltage design that can withstand ±20% fluctuations. When voltage drops, the machine doesn't shut down; when voltage returns, it automatically restarts. A generator interface is reserved, allowing switchover within minutes during a power outage.
Universal parts: The components most prone to failure are seals, bearings, and belts. Many manufacturers use custom‑made parts that can only be purchased from the original factory, taking one to two months to arrive. All of UNIK's wearing parts are of internationally standard specifications. A detailed list is provided with the machine, clearly stating the brand, model number, dimensions, and alternatives. With that list, you can go to a hardware market in Colombo and buy the parts the same day. During the warranty period, parts are free; otherwise, 72‑hour airfreight.
Raw material savings: Quarries around Colombo generate large amounts of stone powder and tailings every day at nearly zero cost. Coal‑powered plants in places like Lagla and Puttalam produce large quantities of fly ash. If you can use these low‑cost raw materials to replace expensive cement and sand, your profit margin will expand significantly.
UNIK's vibration system has adjustable frequency and exciting force, combined with a forced spreading device, allowing it to handle various raw materials such as stone powder, fly ash, manufactured sand, and construction waste. Fly ash can replace 30–50% of cement, reducing raw material costs by 30–50%. Before you place an order, send us your local raw material samples, and we will finalize the mix design before the machine leaves the factory.
