BLOCK MAKING MACHINES SOUTH AFRICA
Products Description
South Africa's block market is experiencing a "proactive price hike wave." As the cost of building material production rises across the board, major South African producers have increased prices for concrete blocks, paving bricks, and other products – in early 2026, some companies already announced a 5% price increase. In core construction markets such as Gauteng, the total installed wall cost of a standard concrete block (390×190×190mm) is now between R500–R600/m², with the material‑only price per block ranging from R12–R18. Investing in a block production line right now is exactly the profit window to capitalize on the "localised cost reduction" business logic driven by high production costs.

Local Services and Consumables
South Africa has a mature service network for block making machines. Even when sourcing from China, you can obtain reliable local support:
Local agents: South African companies such as Revaro and Hydraform already have established distribution networks for block making machines, offering complete machines, spare parts, and after‑sales support. Revaro is the exclusive distribution partner in South Africa for European brands such as Spain's Poyatos and Austria's AME, providing a full product line from manual egg‑layer machines to fully automatic block/brick presses. All equipment is manufactured to ISO and CE standards and features top‑tier vibration technology.
Chinese manufacturing in South Africa: UNIK's QT10‑15 block machine is recognised by customers in the South African market as an efficient, energy‑saving, environmentally friendly, and versatile solution. This machine line uses German variable frequency vibration technology (overall electricity savings of 20%–30%) and a Siemens PLC control system, covering the fully automated process from batching, mixing, and forming to automatic stacking and packaging. The modular mold configuration allows quick switching between hollow blocks, paving bricks, and curbstones.
Engineering support: The "Supersonic" automatic block production line from Chinese manufacturer Qunfeng Machinery has been successfully commissioned in South Africa and has begun expanding to neighbouring countries. The long‑term presence of a large number of locally owned brick plants in South Africa also provides a reliable foundation for spare parts availability and maintenance procurement for imported block machines.

In terms of product range, UNIK offers two main series: QT and UNT. The QT series is the classic主力 (mainstay) model, producing 4 to 10 standard hollow blocks per cycle with a molding cycle of 12–25 seconds, achieving a theoretical daily output of 5,000 to 30,000 blocks. The UNT series is equipped with a third‑generation servo vibration system, achieving overall electricity savings of 20%–30%, making it suitable for scenarios with high energy‑saving requirements. UNIK can also produce molds of any shape according to customer drawings, covering special products such as special‑shaped curbstones, retaining wall blocks, and drainage channel components.
